CRU Tonight

I’m looking forward to speaking at CRU at University of Maryland, College Park tonight.  It’s always great going back to my alma matter.  Who would have thought that I would return and speak in some of the same lecture halls where I attended class?  Yet, God knew even back then that those days would come.  Not sure if I’ll ever get over that amazement.  It’s always great to “give back” spiritually.

People always ask me if we give a sermon at Expression Live.  My answer is always, “No.”  Yet, without an evangelistic message and alter call, God uses this as a tool to reach those that don’t know Him.  By the way, people in our context have a tendency of ignoring outside preaching.  It worked wonders for Jonah in Nineveh, but bombs in Downtown Silver Spring.  This is a testimony of two young ladies at The Bridge who God touched via Expression Live.  The team works hard every year.  This is a reminder that it’s all worth it.

Wow! I know I’ve been MIA from the blog world. I definitely have some catching up to do. I’ll probably spend some time bringing you guys up on what’s been happening in my world. Where do I start?

I’ll start with The Bridge’s Expression Live Benefit Concert. We hosted our third Expression Live this past August and it was amazing! This concert was definitely a step of faith for us.  God allowed us to impact about 2,000 people that day and collect approximately 300 pounds of food for needy individuals and families. The event was featured in the Washington Post, which was pretty exciting!  It never ceases to amaze me how God works. Check out the article!
